In order to introduce the 7 teams in the Cleaning Squad and promote the Luzhou Cup, we planned the Global Day activity together with the leader of the bilingual group in our school. At first, we select the host of this Global Day. It is the job of the host to work with the foreign language teacher so as to talk and explain this topic all in English. Although most of the Global Day activity is explained in English, it is also interspersed with some Chinese to facilitate the audience’s understanding.

Global Day is an English program. In addition to the English conversation between students and the foreign language teacher, there will also have the “Chant It Out” activity and “One Sentence for Every Week”. In simple terms, “Chant It Out” is to simplify the conversation between students and the foreign language teacher into a few words, and finally make the audience practice the dialogue. “One Sentence for Every Week” is the most important sentence in the video. After the students in each class have watched the video, they will be invited to write it down on the small card specially produced for “One Sentence for Every Week”. If you read this sentence to three teachers or parents, you can participate in the school's lucky draw!

After we have selected the host, we also need to select a few students to participate in the English group and performance group of the Global Day. English group need to participate in “Chant It Out”, while the performance group need to make viewers understand the contents of “One Sentence for Every Week” through the method of acting!

Finally, on the day of recording video, we need to gather in the English classroom first, and then began to record video. At the beginning, we all felt very nervous, and we made some errors or got stuck in the process, but they were soon resolved. And then, we got more and more smooth, and it actually took only one lesson to record all of the videos, making the teachers surprised because they were originally scheduled to be recorded in two lessons. Teachers praised us for our excellent work, and they said it was recorded with the shortest time!

This Global Day video is very successful and we look forward to participating again in the next time. Thanks to the classmates for helping us with practice, as well as teachers of the Cyberafir project. Thank you for making this event go more smoothly, and thank you for your contribution to us!
