Chocolate War                                                            [GO BACK]
Q1: If you were Guangyi or A-ming, will you try to steal the chocolate castle? Why? If you won’t, what would you do then?
ANS: f the boss of Jinquantang did not believe us like teacher Yinjing, we would steal the chocolate castle. If he believes us, then we won’t.

Q2: Have you even been wronged by others? How did you manage it?
ANS: Once one of my classmates lost something and accused me of stealing just because I was sitting beside him. I was very angry at being wronged. Finally he found the lost item in his bag and made apologies to me.

My opinion:
I found the people from Jinquantang were very rude. The book tells us, if you are wronged, you have to stand out and prove your innocence with evidence.

Wild dogs on an Isolated Island                              [GO BACK]
Q1: Which chapter impresses you the most? Why?
ANS:The chapter of Contest for Dominance impresses me the most. The story tells about fifty army dogs of Japanese army, who lived happy lives during the war. However, when the Japanese army was defeated, they lost their comfortable life and had to survive in a hostile environment. The local people killed and ate them one by one until the last one, whose name was Lanqi. He joined the group of local wild dogs and finally became the chief of the group.

Q2: Why the wild dogs changed so much?
Because Lanqi join the wild dogs and became the king. He led them in search of food and learnt a lot of skills.

My opinion:
t reminds me of many homeless dogs in the streets, who were abandoned by their owners. I think people should think twice before having a dog as their pet because the homeless dogs are very pitiful. I also wish that the homeless dogs could be adopted by kind people.

Friendship across the Space and Time                         [GO BACK]
Q1: Could you introduce one of the five heroes in the story and their respective historical background (you could search for the information online)
ANS: I would like to introduce  Chu  Yuan-chang, who was a poor boy and later became an emperor.

Q2: If you could traverse the time and go back to the past, which one would you like to meet in the past dynasty? What would you say to him or do for him?
Q2: If I could travel to the past, I would ask  Chu  Yuan-chang  why he was so cruel to kill his former friends after becoming the emperor. I would never be so cruel to my friends.

My opinion:
I used to hold that the history was only wars and killings. But after finishing the book, I realized that those historic characters did those things for certain reasons. It is an interesting book.

Q1: Do you find any familiarity between your teacher and teacher Dinosaur in the book? Please compare the difference between Teacher Yan and Teacher dinosaur?
Similarities:
1. both ask their students to get the first rank.2. Both are terrible when they are angry.
Differences:
1. Teacher Yan is very kind when he is not angry. But Teacher Dinosaur is scaring even when he is peaceful. 2. Teacher Yan is kind to us, but Teacher Dinosaur won’t. 3. Teacher Yan leaves us with little homework, but Teacher Dinosaur won’t.

Q2: Do you find any common ground between you and the characters in the story? Why?
I am not like any characters in the story, not as reasonable as Da-hong Yang, not as integrated and proud as Chen Wen, not as fat as Fan Lin, not as talented as Chi-ming Chang, and not as artistic as Jun-wei Chang.

My opinion:
I think this is an interesting book with so many funny characters. Each character is unique in his/her own way. It is really worthwhile to read it again.
