[GO BACK]
In my opinion, a 100% good father should: 1. don’t smoke, 2. don’t play games, 3. don’t take off his coat when he comes back home, 4, don’t quarrel with mother frequently, 5. always smile, 6. don’t gamble, 7. take the family out for playing during holidays, 8. behave in a gentleman’s way, 9. true to his words and never lie, 10. Kind and warm-hearted, 11, comfort his child when he/she is frustrated, 12. Know the heart of his child, 13. Take care of his child.

If I become a mother one day, I would: 1. love my children, 2. cook for my children, 3. encourage my children to take part in various activities, 4. listen to them, 5. correct them in a gentle way when they do something wrong, 6. impress them well, 7. comfort them when they come across frustrations, 8. never exert pressures on them, 9. teach them to be honest and respectful.
This story tells us, no matter where you are born or are living, remember that it is you who decide your life course and make it better or worse.

Hatchet Boy                                                                   [GO BACK]
Q1:
Which adventure impresses you the most?
ANS: The part impresses me the most is “his head leaned forward and then foam flooded out of his mouth. His legs crouched on the chair and his eyes became white.” This scene was really terrible.

Q2: If you go on adventure on day, which will you go and why?
ANS: I would choose  Egypt because I want to see with my own eyes whether there are any mummies. Pyramids are another attraction. The status of sphinx, the representation of  Egypt, is a must when I travel to that country.

After finishing the book, I think if one day I become  Bryan and live in the wildness alone, I would be terrified. My grandpa is a farmer and we visit him every Sunday. Sometimes he asked me to help him weeding, I would be scared and say “I don’t want to do that, the grass is poisonous.” So living in the wildness alone is beyond my imagination. I really admire  Bryan’s braveness.

Walkman Boy                                                                 [GO BACK]
Q1: What would your life turned out to be if you are deaf?

ANS: Being deaf is terrible for me because I could not hear what people are talking, so I can't make friends or find a job.

Q2: Please write a card to encourage the hero?
ANS: I really admire your persistence and braveness. I would you can make friends. Wish you are happy and lucky.

Jia-long Chang is my favorite character in the book because of his braveness against the adversity. The one I hate the most is Hsiao-wei Hsiah though she performed well in study and was good-looking. She refused to make friends with Jia-long Chang just because he was deaf. I feel really lucky to be healthy.

Tri-boys in Grade Five Class Five                                 [GO BACK]
Q1: We have many good friends. Tell us about the interesting/impressive things happened to your friends.
ANS: It happened when I was in Grade one. I was knocked down by a big boy in the sport class and had a big hump on my head. The teacher had my classmates escort me to the school clinic. The nurse praised me for my braveness. Teachers so cared about me that they called after school. Though my head hurt, but I thought it was worthwhile because there were so many caring teachers and students.

Q2: Do you have two good friends in your class to form tri-boys? Tell us about your stories.
ANS: I don’t have my tri-boys. But there are tri-boys in my class, who are You-yu Liu, Fan-ming Chen and Jian-hao Tzeng, who play dodge-ball very well and always go all out to win the game.

I thought octopus is very obliging and ready to give help. For example, when Gui-tze was too short to play basket ball, Octopus kept asking the teacher. Black eye is a love fool and knows nothing above love. As for Gui-tze, I admire him because he overcomes the weakness of being too short, and could stand his father’s strictness.
