Guiding tours doesn't look like easy business. We have to memorize tons of materials about the artifacts. Just merely 22 artifacts are enough to make my head spin. I just can't imagine what it would be like to be a docent of the National Palace Museum. Through this experience I have finally realized the hardships of docents.

Today "The Artifacts Chase" exhibition we've been waiting had finally opened. Our teacher and we came up with a grand opening performance which was a success. However the later tasks of guiding tours and hosting prize games is even more overwhelming. I hope it is not merely a successful opening ceremony. I hope more people can come see our exhibition.

We went to the library to rehearse. We began by filling forms. After we had done that, we rehearsed once. There were problems during the rehearsal. There were people from the back who bumped into the people in the front when they bow to the audience. Sometimes there were also people who rushed in and bumped into the people at the side. To achieve perfection we still need lots of practices.

This time we went to collect insufficient information. I wrote so much that I thought my hand is about to fall off. There were only four us including myself working on this task. In my mind I was shouting," so little people". Well, it is better than having only one or two people on the task. It would be exhausting!

Since last week we had started to type verbatim transcripts. The word "verbatim"as suggested is to type out one's conversation onto the computer word for word. The process is extremely hard work, because you have to have good hearing and good typing abilities and also you must have a good memory; or else you would be very inefficient.
Luckily I was proficient in all the required abilities, but Pai-chi, Bin-lin and Mingliang were slower in the task. Teacher Tseng told us that normally to be considered efficient we must be able to finish a column per day. My maximum speed is only a paragraph a day. I hope I can improve in speed.

My thoughts and suggestions for the event were:
Borrow artifacts from Master Wang for the Exhibition
Ask Master Wang to do a live explanation of the artifacts
My thoughts and suggestions for the promoting of the exhibition were:
Handout flyers to the staff and students of the whole school
Ask everybody to pass on the news through a word of mouth.
Make use of the morning assembly to promote

11/29、I think we can invite Master Wang to come to our school and do an introduction on the artifacts of Luijhou city The Forbidden City Museum. Once Master Wang had come to our school we can help with his promotion of the artifacts run more smoothly. This way the staffs and students of the entire school will get a chance to understand the origin and value of the artifacts of Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum. Or, we can hold an exhibition in our library exhibiting some smaller artifacts. We won't need a lot, just enough for the students who had seen the exhibition to understand and remember what they've seen; and the task of promoting the project is accomplished. If we are planning to host an exhibition we can help with the preparation and setting up of the exhibition site. I believe the ideas proposed above can help students understand the meaning within the artifacts.

12/2、The tour guiding experience this week would be very interesting. So far I had finished typing all my afterthoughts. When I first got into the classroom there was not a single person in the room. A moment had past and more and more people started pouring into the classroom. The silent classroom became very loud and noisy. As I looked at the people in the room I told myself that I should not be relaxing anymore, I got to start finishing my tasks quickly. While I was typing my afterthoughts, I noticed that the room had quieted down. Sometimes it's kind of scary when it's quiet. So, I continued to type with fear. When I've finally finished typing the afterthoughts the class hadn't ended yet. So, our teacher told me to go type the verbatim transcripts. At the same moment the school bell sounded, so I didn't get to type the verbatim transcripts after all. I hope I'll get a chance to practice it next time.

This week, due to the fact that I had to rush the artifact introductions for the exhibition next week, I had no time to write afterthoughts. While I was working on the introduction of the artifacts, there were a lot of people chatting which made a lot of noise. Due to this, I was unable to focus on my tasks. However, if I was unable to type up my afterthoughts under these conditions, wouldn't it mean that I would have concentration deficiency? So, I am just going to type up my afterthoughts as I was told! After a while the room had finally silenced and I was able to concentrate a classmate next to me suddenly called and spoke a bunch of none sense to me. My concentration mood was destroyed like a deflated balloon. Finally what I wanted to say is I hope next week comes soon, so we can start the exhibition.

Yesterday, I continued the typing practice exercise which I left off last week. I type and typed, but I kept on making mistakes. What made it worse was that my hands were for some unknown reason not very flexible and that I typed really slowly. Finally I've finished working on the typing exercises; I noticed that everybody was working on their last week's afterthought entries. I haven't done that yet, so I followed their steps and worked on my afterthoughts. While I was typing my afterthoughts I noticed that there were two classmates next to me making a big noise. In conclusion the classmate of the next row just couldn't take it anymore and went to the teacher and told on them. Then the teacher told them to be quiet.
Today I continue to work on my afterthought entries for Monday. In the end I finally finished the task and the teacher said that when we finish we can work on the afterthoughts of this week. So, I started on it right away. After a little over ten minutes I finished my afterthought entry. I looked at the time and noticed that the class had not ended yet. This is the first time which I ever typed so fast. I must continue to type my afterthought entries with this speed, and I will be faster in speed in the future.

This time we didn't visit Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum, we were working on our afterthought entries and typing verbatim transcripts in the advanced placement program classroom. We worked really hard and we wanted to complete our own tasks quickly so we won't be a burden to anybody.
Recently we've finished two afterthought entries. Written in the entries The" Xianfeng Nanyang Imperial Jade Carriage", the" Ivory Ball", the "Mail Carrier of the Pigeon Messenger", "Stone formed naturally in the shape of? a roast pork", and the " seal which Emperor Kangxi gave to Mazu" were my favorite of the museum artifacts.

On Monday, Yu-hui Bai, Wan-ni Chen and I typed verbatim transcripts together. Although our typing speed had improved, I am still much slower than my mother.
Also on Tuesday and Wednesday, we stayed in the advanced placement classroom to help type the verbatim transcripts. We typed as we chatted among ourselves. In the beginning we couldn't comprehend what Master Wang was saying in the film. All we could hear were sounds of birds and murmurs. Nevertheless, if there is ever another chance I would like to go again and listen to Master Wang's careful explanations.

Despite the fact that we didn't visit Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum, we've accomplished a lot of work; such as type afterthought entries, practice typing, and type verbatim transcripts. The times which we meet for the Cyberfair project are the afternoon breaks of Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays we have to hand in afterthought entries. On Tuesdays, we have to organize the information collected. On Thursdays we would type verbatim transcripts in the advanced placement classroom. Although we had to stare at the computer screen while organizing information, we can learn a lot about the era and related stories of the artifacts. When you type verbatim transcripts you must type out the conversation in the film and save it in word file. Although you would sometimes hear so much of it that you just couldn't stand it anymore, you can get a review and enhance your impression of the historical information introduced by the Master. Due to this arrangement of time I wasn't able to rest during the afternoon breaks, but I wasn't tired at all. In fact I felt that my life was more enriched and I was able to gain a lot of new knowledge. Finally I would like to say something about my self-expectations. I wish I can improve my typing speed and so I won't type so slowly while typing verbatim transcripts.

Last Monday and Tuesday we did something called the Collection Sorting Table. In fact the collection sorting activity is that each person is to choose two artifacts, and find information for the artifacts they've chosen, and then introduce the artifacts at the exhibition held at the end of the month.
From Wednesday to Friday, we made use of the morning self-study period and afternoon breaks to make posters. I've made three posters, and they were of the "Imperial Sovereign Saint Kuan", Kongming Drum, and the undergarment of the Ming Emperor. My favorite artifact is the Kongming Drum, because it can be used as a drum, and as pot for cooking. It is very useful.

Oh! After interviewing Master Wang I still have to type verbatim transcripts. I am all tired out! Nonetheless, I've learned the techniques of typing verbatim transcripts. In the beginning I couldn't make out what Master Wang was saying and was afraid to ask the others too many times. Therefore, I listened to the interview over and over again. I worked harder than anybody else. Later I can understand almost all the things that he said. I've also learned a lot about the history! Now I can type much faster now!

Oh! I am so tired! I never thought that after the verbatim job there is another job coming up; the exhibition which we named "The artifacts chase". Now we have a new mission and it is to memorize the information of the 22 artifacts. That is truly scary! The exhibition is to be held on the same week as the final exams. In fact we will have to assign shifts to take turns giving tours to allow everybody to learn about the artifacts of Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum! Go Team!!!

This morning during the self-reading period, members of the Cyberfair project team rehearsed the exhibition opening ceremony in the school library.
Someone: Should we put on the firecrackers?
Teacher: Do you have firecrackers?
Someone: Let's get them now!
Teacher: Alright! If that's what you want, then I am going to do something really special, but you will have to do exactly what I tell you to do! It will be hard!

Oh Yeah! The verbatim transcripts are finally done! What is next? Organize artifact materials. Oh God! I think I am going to die! Nonetheless for the sake of the Cyberfair project and the school exhibition I will give it my all. I will glorify the school. I will glorify the country. No matter how big the obstacle, I will conquer it. I would like to give special thanks to the teachers for all they have done, to Master Wang for his patience and to my classmates for their caring. Thank you all for giving me this opportunity to become a part of this competition.

1/4，These materials are introductions of all of the artifacts of Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum. It will be helpful in the subject of history; even though I am only an elementary student. Due to the fact that the final exam is around the corner I have little tme to do anything else. Therefore, I only memorized a little bit of the material and the rest is what I remembered from my trip to the museum. I hope I'll be fine when it's my turn to guide the tour.

When I first started typing verbatim transcripts I didn't know what it was for. All I know is to listen to the conversation and type it down word for word. It's very boring and a total waste of time. However, after careful consideration I realized that our films need subtitles and the subtitles are the refined product of our work. (It can be divided into two parts)

I've typed verbatim transcripts for stories on the god of marriage and god statues. Typing verbatim is no easy job, because you have to know what the speaker is saying even if he mumbles. Also before an interview there are lots of preparations that need to be done; such as know what to ask, have prior knowledge of Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum, know what are being exhibited in the museum, have knowledge of the introduction of most of the artifacts inside the museum and have knowledge of filming techniques!
The long hours of filming had made my back, waist and arms very sore!

Hi, Everyone! I am a member of the Cyberfair project team. After the visit to Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum last week, we start to work. We have to type up afterthoughts of the visit, and reflections of the tasks, and then send them to the teacher. After we’ve done that, we can start practicing typing. We were so busy!
This week, we had to work just as usual. Our teachers told us to type up the afterthought entries of this week and last week and then send them to the teacher's email. Next, the teacher would proofread our works and then tell us to type up the corrected entries and send them to the teacher's email again. Then the task is truly complete!
Following this, the teacher will tell us to do typing practice exercises. Those who had completed the exercises, the teacher will check whether they had missed any afterthought entries. If there were missing entries we must type more to make up for the missing ones. On the other hand if there were none missing, the teacher would tell us to type up the afterthought entry for the following week.

Corrected Version of the task reflection entry! Hello! Everybody! I am a member of the Cyberfair project team. This week, we won't be going to Lujhou City The Forbidden City Museum anymore, because we're done visiting the place. It's time to organize the materials we have collected. As for the artifact collection division they still get to go to the museum! I envy them!
Next, our teacher let us practice the use of emails. We begin to work. The fact that I type really slow, I was always slow to hand in my afterthought entries. It looks like I should start to practice typing. I can't go on like this!
Finally I've finished typing my afterthought. The teacher was afraid that our typing speed was too slow so he gave us each a piece of paper and told us to start practicing typing. When I heard it I thought I was going to vomit. There is nothing I can do. Since that's what the teacher wanted, I'll do what has to be done.
