The considerate pork-selling grandma

Beginning to sell pork at 26, grandma had been selling pork for 34 years. Due to the lack of experience, she followed his husband' eldest sister at first, before which she worked in a lamp bulb factory, but the pay was so terrible that she switched to business. Besides standing long and cutting meat withgreat strength, her uterus was so weak that her two ex-fetuses died at age of six months.

Grandma's younger brother was also selling pork, whose stall was beside that of the grandma. His wife replaced him, since he had had a car accident. Do not think only men can chop pork and bones. Women can also handle it as long as they try to learn it.

Grandma had a unique concept of love and family that she preferred to love between love and bread. She believed that the couple would stick together through thick and thin and share joys and sorrows of life with true love. Thus, the affection would not be that firm if depending on money. “The affection will change along with the money. They may separate in case of bankruptcy." She said.

Grandma assumed that it was difficult to serve customers, for she couldn't read their minds, which she tried hard to learn gradually as time went on. She treated customers kindly and never offended those fussy ones; instead she would intentionally raise the price to let them leave themselves. The grandma believed that you have to be patient and glad to serve, so when some guests  requested  her to slice the pork, she would if not busy, or she would ask them  for a minute politely, for  you had to do business no matter you were happy or not. With quality guaranteed, some patrons may wait around when it was busy. The grandma said on television that "Shop around do not suffer" and it's no use buying cheapness but not freshness.

Grandma said that the fat-pork had been used to earn a lot but nowadays lean-meat prevailed. Thanks to salad oil' price rise, the lard became expensive. She sold the best part of pork instead of the whole, for which, her husband and she would pick over at midnight, among which only the fine one would work but the fatty one would even suffer a deficit.

Grandma used to sell quite a few pigs for a day owe to the existence of big families. Right now, small families bought little and some even ate outside. Grandma's main customers were residents; although the price was high they would not bargain. The unsold pork should then be put into the refrigerator if it was going to sell on the other day with lower price. It should be frozen below zero 20 degrees if it was to be stored for a longer time in case of some big festivals.

It's the most unforgettable that there once had been three generations buying pork at grandma's, so had some customers having moved to Dasi, where pork considered terrible. She also had a little study on how to cook pork, to which some customers would even refer. Refraining from hurting their pride, Grandma would give more pork to those in a poor situation without informing them. She had a good habit of cooking at home no matter how tired she was.

At present the majority of peddlers in the market had been doing business for 30 years, which helped to form their potential customers. New sellers can not last long. Grandma thought customers had increased but most of them outflow to the  Chengcheng Road  and  Guanghua Road. She was so poor since married and started from  scratch by selling meat, for all this years she dreamed of earning a house and retired at 50 years old. Unexpectedly, she chopped on and on, and it was a couple of days before she was 60.
