Topic: The first time to review what we have learned—life is after all just a story
Date: 200610.10 Location: Luchou Market Participants: Cyberfair team members, Mrs. Lai, Mrs. Lin, Mrs. Hsu Recorder: Mei-chung Wu In fact, what slips everyday is not only time.The students of our class and I stepped into the Luchou Jhunshan Market.I hope the first time I guide children to the food market, I will go through the front gate. Walking below the big billboard of Jhunshan Theater I once loitered under three or four decades ago,I only can tell the children with a musing heart: “ here at one time stood a very big movie billboard”. I went forward, the bulky line of words “Jhunshan Theatre” was still smiling at me from the cement wall of the second floor at the entrance of the food market In my childhood, I saw the “Burns the Sky-scraping Wheel” there, and the ghost movies I forgot the names of…
That are pieces of stories belong to Jhunshan Theatre and me.
	When we went into the food market, the students covered their noses, I motioned to them to put down their hand. I remembered a book of Lin Ching-hsuan I read in my senior high school: his father reminded him not to cover his noses when people who shoulder water manure and drive oxcart passing by. To any industrious people,
We should pay essential respect. I watched parts of stalls that no longer sell fish and meat, What kind of stories had made them decide to leave,while for people still stay there, how they again pass each day? I think of their story, that’s life, their life are just stories, for living, they write stories with their life. I hope children will see relations between people and life. Maybe, one day children will themselves have story with the food market. Just as again see me when I was in grade four of primary school. I owed $3 to the fishmonger when I first went to the food market to buy chub, I ran back home immediately and took $3 and rushed to the food market to give it back to the fishmonger. That feeling of being trusted, clinging to that we ourselves shall not let down others, trust ourselves that one day we will one day learn to believe in others, set your heart at rest to let others owe you, believe in others, because life is after all just a story.

Date: October 10, 2006 Location: Luchou City Chenggung Road – Jhunshan Market and its surroundings〞 Participants: Cyberfair team members, three householders Recorder: Mei-hui Chiang In the memory of childhood, I already knew the existence of Luchou. Because mother always rode bus to “Luchou” to buy food from as far as “Hsinchuang”. Only until when I married and settled in Luchou could I truly understand the appearance of Luchou. This is a very traditional “food market”, from my husband I know it approximately has a history of a hundred years. Its scale is gradually extended from a small plot of area beside the former Dachung Temple to the today’s entire region covers Chenggung Road and Desheng Street. The business categories is indeed all-inclusive, it has everything that one expects to find. At day time, it is market, but at night, it transforms into a mode of tourism night market.
In the recent several years, under the energetic advocacy of the government, to coordinate the development of the community, it has been transformed into a “image commercial circle”. Although it is no as tidy and beautiful as the Tamshui Fishermen’s Wharf, it is the important strongpoint that concentrates the “man’s heart of Luchou”. Hope that through the study, children will understand the importance of Luchou in the place and how to find the future development direction for the traditional market.

Date:2006.12.29 Location: Luchou Market Recorder: Hsin-he Wu Today, the team members and I went to the food market together, there we saw many various shops, such as vegetable shop, fruit shop, butcher's, clothes shop and noodle shop etc……there are commodities with omnifarious categories, make one dazzling.
After rambling for a while, we began to call on shopkeepers of the shops, asked them histories and stories about Luchou food market, first we interviewed the shopkeeper of the butcher's, the kind shopkeeper answered our questions one by one; then I came to the fish stall, the zealous and humourous fishmonger said: in my childhood although there was market, it was not as large as the present one.
The fishmonger also told us before the roadside stalls were not that much, so the competition was not that intense. Further more, we then called on the shopkeeper of the vegetable shop, he eagerly explained to us; after the interview on the vegetable shop, our group of people came to the seed shop, in the long-history seedshop,.there were one jiao and one fen abaci, and also the utensils for sifting seeds, all were appliances we had never seen. Before I felt shopping was bored and not interesting, but since I found the fun of shopping, I deeply realized the charm and ardour of Luchou as well as the beauty of Luchou.
